Good evening folks;
My spyderco tenacious pivot screw is literally screwed up.I stripped it before when i try to tightening it with allen wrench.I learned from internet that tenacious screws are the one of the worst screws in folding knife history and i witnessed that.
I tried the cutting a flat head slot on the screw and heat it with a soldering iron(to soften the loctite i guess) and tried turning it again with a flathead and....bam half of the goddamn screw stripped.
Anyone have another methods to remove it?I heard drilling method but not sure about it. And will spyderco send me replacement screws for it?(i can pay the international shipment)
I can photos if needed.

Happy thanksgiving btw(pls no lame Turkey jokes :D)

I think that the lock side of the liner has a flat spot on the barrel of the pivot. This prevents the lock side from turning, so you probably need to loosen the other side.

You could probably find a replacement screw locally. If I remember correctly, the screw is metric (M3 x 0.5), it's been a few years since I took my Tenacious apart and measured the screw threads. I didn't have a problem with my pivot, but the back spacer screw heads got stripped.

You might take apart some old and dead hard drives, they may have a screw the right size. Also a electronics supply store may be another source.

Thanks man im gonna try the screws of electronic devices i have laying around.
But i couldnt understand your first sentence.I know its the important part can you explain more in detail:D
