Can't join gold membership group

I upgraded to Gold, got the confirmation e-mail, but can't join the gold membership group yet?
Please advice,

an easy way to tell when you are upgraded is to click your name and see if you can send pm's or not.
 
Be patient.

If you used the automated system it may be tomorrow or later tonight before you become active.

David1967, since you are an international member, you cannot use the automated system. You have to click the alternative link in the instructions, and proceed from there. This is the manual system, and actually requires Spark to manually get you activated. This is done as he has time, so be patient. If it has been more than a week, make sure and PM or email him.
 
I paid using CC, got confirmation few days ago. I am not worried - I just miss the search function.
