But they're both suuhhhhweet!

I went on a lil SFNO venture recently to acquire one I used to have (the red handled one). It looked bleak as the current owner at the time hadn't mailed me back so I snagged up the Sandstorm G10 one. The G10 version might actually be the best in the hand feeling SFNO I've handled yet. The machined mags feel perfect. The wood handles are not quite as contoured but I love the maple. I'm definitely a fuill height grind guy as these are much preferable to the LE I had. I paid out my a$$ to get the red one back so the G10 one will see the chopping block. Or will it?

Yeah - looks, and feels, even better in real life! Damnit, sooo much money tied up in the other one though :D

I'd just keep your custom shop model and sell the other. But if Sfno's are your bag just keep both. Then just start collecting Sfno's.
But i to find it hard to part with any of my Busse's. :)

I'd go with the one you feel most comfortable with. Looks are great, but feel and performance should trump it....if it is to be used.

I like the Sandstorm. In the pics the wood looks a little blocky.

Going with the "hard use" theme of Busse knives, I would go with the G-10. I think it's more attractive too.

Keep the g-10 if it feels better. To my eye its the prettier and definitely the stronger.

I would not mind if that sandstorm blew my way, but it looks like that ship has sailed. Enjoy your custom!

I remember that SFNO with the red wood at a knob Creek show. It was the least priced of all the custom shop SFNO's, but many could not get past the red handles and it stayed. The camouflage G10 SFNO is very desirable.. more so than the red handled custom. Although I do remember that the red SFNO did feel good in the hand :-)

I'm not one for the red g10, at all. Really I can't tell you how much I dislike red g10 :D But I do love this red maple!

You'll probably have an easier time getting your money back out of the sandstorm. One of the reasons that I rarely buy customs is because you can spend so much on them that they're difficult to sell quickly without taking a loss. I'm assuming that you REALLY have to get out from under one of them; otherwise, I'd say keep them both and save/scrimp for a while to make up for it.

I see that you put the sandstorm up today and that it sold quickly, so this decision is made.
