Good afternoon,
I have tried for the second time on a second deal to leave feedback for a member.
And for the second time I get the message,
"The deal URL is invalid!"
The first time this happened the thread was locked, so I thought that was the reason and I did not leave any positive feedback. I then send a message to technical support a couple of weeks ago with no reply.
Now after another successful deal I would like to leave positive feedback and being new to this site, build up my positive feedback.
Please tell me what I am doing wrong??
This is the URL I am trying to post,

Thank you,
wcmd.

I am pretty sure you need to use the URL of the actual sales thread rather than the URL of a post in the thread.

Hello Bastid,
Would you please explain how I would do this?

I know this is the wrong forum, but only got one response in the
proper forum,Tech Support, General Q&A, Site Feedback & More.
The response was helpful, but did not answer my question.

What URL do I use?
How do I use it??

Thank you,
wcmd.

Go to the page with the thread title. Right click on thread title. Cut and paste in the appropriate field.

I have tried many variations of that,
Cut and pasted the actual deal thread,

Cut and pasted the forum page with the deal thread as you sugested,

This is very frustrating!!!

Please do not make double Threads. Especially when your first thread was moved where it belonged and an answer given. :D

The General Discussion forum is for the discussion of knives. The Tech support Q/A forums is for these types of questions.

Bad link. Please give me the name of the forum and the name of the thread, and I will try to find the problem.

Edit to add: is this ad?

I am having the same problem!!
"I'm trying to leave feedback after a transaction and every time I try, I get an "Invalid URL" message. I've tried just about all I can think of: The post where I originally read about the knife I bought, my inbox where I PM'd the seller, my sent messages, etc. I guess my question is what does it mean by original URL for the deal? I thought I WAS putting that in."
Please help,
wcmd.

I am trying to keep all your posts in one thread. Spreading them out in different threads makes it harder for us to be sure we are all looking at the same information. Please continue posting only in this thread.

Thank you dttomcat for all your help,
Would you please give me a detailed explanation of "link to the thread"?
I do not understand the process.
wcmd.

OK ... I'll try. Hover your cursor over this http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/841776-Orange-Manix-160-SHPPED-Leatherman-SOGs . Push the right side button on your mouse. Scroll down and highlight "Copy Link Location". Left button click on that, then go to the feedback section. Where it says copy URL you need to click on that so that the cursor flashes in that field. Then, you right click again. Scroll down and let click on "paste". then, leave a short comment. Then I think it says submit feedback. Then left button click on that. This feels like the blind leading the blind to me.

That is the link I have used from the start.
And I still get the message,
"The deal URL is invalid!"
Sorry for sounding ungrateful, but this is extremely frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does my new member status have anything to do with the problem???
