I've been trying for over a week to post a new thread in the makers section and it always times out. I can post replies no problem but starting a thread is no good. It says I can post them under permissions, so I don't know what the deal is. I've tried on 3 computers and my iphone.

Edit:
Must only apply to the shop talk cause this thread posted really fast.

I am getting a 524 error anytime I try to post on a specific thread. I actually started the thread so it kinda is annoying

ever resolved?

Which forum is it in which you cannot start a thread? I can think of about four forums which might be described as "the maker's section". Some of them require a knifemaker membership. Please provide a link to the specific forum.

I am having the same problem the last couple days in Becker section. If you figure it out please post solution here.

Specifically shop talk. It's pretty much the only one I post in. I got a thread started last night but every time I tried to post a reply or edit my original post it wouldn't work. It continually times out.

Any suggestions? It's still happening. Has my user name been corrupted or something because I am seeing new threads Pop up, yet I can't post.

Can I try registering a new user name to see if it works? I know it's against forum rules, not trying to get banned.

I think something is wrong with my account. I went ahead and registered a new account, posted a new thread, and it immediately processed. The thread isn't showing up because it needs to be approved first. I understand this is against rules and would be happy to pay the $10 for the name change, but I have tried absolutely everything that I can, to get to the bottom of this issue with no avail. All I want to do is share my disc grinder that I came up with that works amazingly well and share the files with the community. Think of it as my version of a EERF grinder.

Edit: this isnt my first forum either. I have been on forums since the internet started. I have had paid memberships from other forums in the past, and have never encountered this issue.
