Can't post my thread in production folders for sale

I tried maybe twenty times yesterday and numerous more times today. It gets stuck loading once I hit post and then times out after maybe a minute, saying that it couldn't connect to the server. I've tried changing some things in the text but nothing works. I really need to sell some knives as soon as possible so any help would be appreciated. I can try sending the text to a mod if you want to look it over. Thanks.
 
Does your post contain a lot of text or pics? If so try to split it up into separate posts. Start with the title and just a few words and the try to edit in more.
 
I tried posting the first line of my listing and it didn't work. I tried including it in my reply here and it didn't work. I tried PMing you the line and it didn't work. I tried e-mailing you the line and it didn't work. I'm thinking there's some strange bbcoding going on here . . .
 
It doesn't include anything I haven't seen in others' posts hundreds of times . . .
 
Strange. Although the site did just time out on me which hardly ever happens.
 
This M4 Millie is the product of a blade swap in which I put the M4 blade and steel lockbar insert into a fluted titanium Military.

I tried again today and it WILL NOT POST. Even if I cut it down to one entry, just a few lines. Tries for a minute then tells me unable to connect to server. I can navigate the forums just fine otherwise.
 
Try to PM your ad. I'm curious if it will time out in a private message.
 
Timed out. I was able to get a very short listing up for one of my items. I'll try the rest tomorrow, probably will have to do them undetailed and one at a time.
 
I am having the exact same problem trying to post a custom Behring made for sale. Keeps saying unable to connect to server. Please post if you get a fix to the problem.
 
Chet45, go to Settings(upper right)
then to Permission Groups (left side)
then select your Gold membership level.
 
Esav, thanks for the heads up. I got the membership group changed but am still having the same problem when I go to submit the new post with the knife for sale. It just responds with no data and that it can't connect to server.
 
What are you using for the image links? Sometimes the forum software has an issue with the smiley interpretation and other subroutines (thanks, vBulletin for your BS) and it causes issues.
 
Funny, I've been having issues with posting a new thread too... I've tried a couple times to post a new thread in the Spyderco forum, and it just times out on me each time. I can't even preview it. Replying to threads is fine though...

I thought it might be something to do with me being a relative newbie (I know certain forums require a minimum number of posts before allowing new threads), but unfortunately I can't even get into the BF FAQs to check! Every time I click a link in the FAQs, it just takes me to a blank page.

I may try limiting the number of characters in the post though... Maybe that's my issue.
 
For the image links I am using 4 PDF's as attachments through the attachment manager in the posting page. If I need to do it another way please let me know.
 
Similar problems here, posted a few ads and pics before with no problems, I can't post any pics with the ads now. The uploader is my problem but there are no directions, specs, user info that I can find on here.
 
grickie77, you probably need to use a hosting service, like Photobucket or imgur.


1. I use www.photobucket.com . Download your pictures.

Go to your Photobucket album.
Click on the picture you want.
Go to the right and see Links to share this photo

Email & IM

Left click on IMG. It will flash Copied. Paste into your post.

2. Another way: go to http://www.imgur.com and upload your image.
After uploading, select the BBCode option - it starts with

tried it but I have tried all the links for the photos and nothing shows a picture just all links. I posted anyway.

I'm sure it's user error that I cannot get the results I want but it's a shame that that we cannot use the uploader that the forum software comes with, simple and easy , when functional.
