Cant post thread?

Questions on Bladeforums operations belong iin Service & Support, where Spark can see them. We are having some difficulties since moving to new servers.

Sorry I guess it was too big? I broke it up into three seperate posts and it posted.

neither I waited about 10 mins and it just sat there with the little windows wheel spinning, I finally gave up waiting. When I broke it into 3 parts all three posted instantly so maybe it was size related? I am fairly sure I have seen much bigger posts with more pictures tho posted by folks.

Strange. I believe Spark is still optimizing the current setup.
At least you did get your post/s up! :)

Esav,

I am having the same problems. About to go balistic.

I have been trying to post a sizeable post for about 1.5 hours with an embarrasing number of attempts that kept failing.

I made a few smaller posts on different threads without problems.

I thought it might be thread specific related and it was suggested I come over here to support and saw this thread.

So, I went back and chopped up my post. The first couple of bits went fine. Then the 3rd bit kept failing even when I tried making it shorter and shorter to only a few lines.

I am pretty frustrated.

At this point, I will be impressed if THIS post works.

Must have gotten lucky here (??????????) I just went back and tried again on the other post, but Still having problems on the other thread with now even VERY SHORT posts.

Did it actually fail to post or just take a long time posting, or time out?

My problems "Failed" and timed out. But, mine would time out after about 30 seconds or so then I would get this:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

What you can try:

I had a problem yesterday as well or maybe Wednesday night (??????).

I think the servers went down and rebooted or something causing me to get logged out.

I kept logging in without being able to.

I kept reading the instructions about cookies and java trying to figure out what the problems might be. I kept clearing my cookies and still couldn't log in. I would get "timed out" after 5 attempt of failed logging in... multiple time outs for so many failed attempts.

Eventually, I had to request a password change - which worked.

But, I KNOW I had the correct password. I have used it plenty and have it on a document.

My guess is something with the server change might have changed my password (??????).

That was a bit frustrating as well.

Same issue right now. I am trying to post a thread in the General discussion area before I go to work (was hoping to get responses when I got back home tonight). I copied my paragraphs and am trying to not lose my thread. It keeps timing out and saying "unknown error" after about 5 minutes. I'm on internet explorer, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I'm sure Spark already knows, just thought I'd chime in with the information that I have.

Edit to add: this posted up almost instantly for some reason

Coming back with an update. I did the choppy thread (edited in a little at a time) and it eventually worked and let me post everything :o

This problem should have been fixed. Please let me know if it's still occurring.

Its happening to me :( I've tried probably 15 times now and it just keeps timing out.

I just tried five times to make a new post (new thread) and it timed out. I split the post in two and nada. No problem with making smaller posts in existing threads though.

Reported to tech support again.

Thanks. I even broke my (1,200 word) post down to a single paragraph with no joy. I'll try again tomorrow.

My post went through just fine in it's entirety when I logged on this morning. Thanks again Kevin.
