Can't reach Chuddy Bear

Does Chuddy Bear make sheaths? I've emailed him a few times and haven't gotten a response.
 
Do Not Believe Chuddy is making Sheaths any longer! He Made some for me a couple of years ago, and I have not been able to reach him since then!!
 
Who makes similar quality sheaths? I'm new to Busse knives and I just picked up a TGLB with a beautiful Chuddy Bear sheath. I also picked up a le ms and wanted a leather sheath for it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
 
I emailed him at least 4 times over the last 8 months with no response... I got fed up one way or another and took my business else where.... If he is no longer accepting business it would be nice to say so, on here or his website... Not bashing but not a fan at the same time...

Savage, well let's just say he has a couple of sheaths on the way for me at the moment that I am really looking forward to!!!!
 
Chad Pirtle, PirtleMade. Think his name here on the forums is cpirtle. His sheaths are awesome and he's great to work with. :thumbup:
 
My Understanding was Chuddy was going thru some personal issues with his family (Very, Very, Serious) when this happens the last thing you are concerned about is updating your website! If things were normal Chuddy would have responded! He is a Stand-Up guy and makes GREAT Sheaths!!!

I hate to say it, but I saw an obituary that may have been his wife, from this middle of last year. Same town, same last name, husband's name the same.

Oh no, that's horrible. He made me my first sheath for my first Busse and was really helpful in helping me pick out options and giving me advice on how to care for it.

Chuddy is good people and is a wizard with leather. If he's being unresponsive, he definitely is contending with some larger problems.

Keep trying periodically with Chuddy or contact Chad Pirtile if you need something now. Chad also is a first class guy and makes great sheaths. Check him out.
 
Its very unfortunate when life occurs and puts us through hellacious situations. My condolences to him truly.

BUT, when you are a professional and you operate a business of any kind, you have a duty and responsibility to perform some basic things...

One of which is to notify the public you are not currently conducting business, internet postponing production etc...

With the internet, this can be addressed in less than five minutes. I truly feel for people when they go through terrible situations, as we all have, but you cannot simply ignore clients.

I hope this doesn't come off as a jerk because that is not what I am trying to be, I am sure he is a stand-up guy... He just would have solved a lot of potential issues by a simple courtesy notification on BF or his web page, that helps him as well as his current and potential future clients.

It is what is at this point

I hope life gets better for him and any one else going through a difficult time.

Honestly, I'm not sure it was his wife, but same his name on the obituary as the husband and same town.

Also, unless I'm mistaken, he is a police officer and only makes sheaths part time. Though maybe he retired.

Think everyone deserves some slack now and then. Another endorsement for the quality of his work. Thoughts and prayers for his family.
 
Emailed him about 18 months ago. No reply. Love his work but I do think he could at least set up an auto reply. The family problems are bad and understandable but very few people trying to get in touch know anything about it. Armorall leather is top notch.
