Happy Thanksgiving!!
Buck Season is upon us...and in WV, there is basically no other time that is more special to an outdoorsman, well at least to me....so...
Due to life, and what not..the bills had to be paid...and the majority of the stock I have (with the exception of the R9..which only death, or some other extreme scenario could part me with) had to hit the mail room...bills are bills, you know what I mean.
With God's grace, folks wanted the blades, and I had one item left on the sale forum, and thought.."Crud man, you've sold your blades, and thankfully the needs are met..but, you have nothing to skin a deer with that will do the job appropriately..so yank that last item off the thread, and see if someone here will trade you a decent blade so you can have something to skin a deer with, if the Lord gives you one..."...so..
I yanked it off the for sale forum, moved it to the trade forum.....hoping, and actually praying... that someone, anyone would have a need/desire for the item and have something decent to trade. I got a few offers, but nothing felt right..so I declined them.
Just about when I had given up, you'd never guess who had an extra blade, thankfully had a desire for the item, and wanted to help a brother out..
Yep..The Bossman himself, The Forger of blades, The Most Gifted, Artisan of Steel that I have ever heard of..came to my rescue..
Despite of all that I am not, I know what I am...BLESSED, BLESSED, BLESSED!!! God is so good to me!! I have a blade heading my way, not just any blade...but more than what I could have hoped for.
Jerry did not know my circumstances, but God did..He heard my prayer, so I thank Him first and foremost, but it is also extremely important to give credit where it is due...so...
You can call me a fanboy, you can talk trash all you want about "Busse Hype", you can talk all the junk you want ...but when I hear the smack talk, it is extremely, overwhelmingly, and evidently apparent that the folks that say junk like that, don't have his blades, don't know Jerry Busse, and have never known what it means to know (even in some small way like myself) the man behind the blades..
I am honored not to just have had a few of his blades through the years, and to have experienced the unrivalled quality in them...but I am MOST honored to know that I can call this Man among men, my Friend.
There are so few true Friends in one's life...I am so blessed.
I challenge this entire Forum, to name me another Maker/Manufacturer or whatever..that has the unyielding, personal loyalty of so many...Name them...Is there another? I think not.
It's not just about the blades, (but if they were not freaking awesome, I'd have never gotten to know him), it's about the guy who pours all he can into hard work, design, beautiful execution, an OUTSTANDING staff, an unrivalled marketing campaign, etc., etc.; it's about the stuff that can't be said, or read, or cut with, chopped with.. it's about his Heart. (Not the Steelheart, mind you..lol...Man, I'm getting cheesy in my old age..)
So, long story short...I'll be a Busse dude till I croak..
