Cant sharpen my BK-2 for the life of me?

For my bk 14 I use sandpaper on a mouse pad and convex it and get great results i am happy with but when it comes to my bk- 2 i just cant get the darn thing sharp. I want to convex it but i aint having any luck with the sandpaper anymore. I tried my dmt stones which i use on my folding knives and aint having any luck with that also. Any tips on what i am doing wrong would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
 
You may be using too much force? Try actually relieving some of the weight of the knife from the sharpening surface, I know that bk2 is a husky knife, if that doesn't work try a set angle system like sharpmaker or something similar.:confused:
 
The grind on my BK-2 was really uneven.
Try the 'sharpie on the edge' trick to see if you are actually sharpening the edge on both sides of the blade.
 
Try the marker idea, If I try to run the knife over the stone I can't get the angle right. Try running the stone over the knife holding both at the correct angle.
 
Do what they said, but also listen really closely when you are doing it. Once you hit the right angle, you will hear a difference. The sharpie trick helps to dial that in.
