Man! I have a tooth ache from hell. I should have gone to the dentist at the first sign of pain a week ago. But being a professional procrastinator I didn't. I am going tommorrow for sure. I can't take another night like this. I have some Jack daniels whiskey in ice and I swish it around the tooth and it helps a bit. I feel like grabbing a metal punch and ball peen and knocking this sucker out. Anyways...:grumpy::(:(

It has been said a toothache will make even an atheist pray. I hope all goes well tomorrow and you can get it dealt with!

Long, slept maybe two hours. I am looking for my dental insurance doc to get this taken care of.

Good luck at the dentist. Dang tooth aches suck, been there a couple of times. It seems like its impossible to ignore pain in the head esp. when your trying to sleep. It really is quite maddening.

take care

I have always said that there is something fundamentally something wrong with a man who wants to make his living with his fingers in someone elses mouth. :) But there are times when I am sure glad that they do.

Serves you right for not sharing all that Cocobolo you got the other day. Just kidding. :) Good luck.

Momma always told me to share. I should of listened.
I got an appointment tommorrow to get this no good tooth out of my life.

You could be purchasing a set of they down the road, if you do not take care of what you got. I know all about the pain that comes from toothaches. You also may have a infection surrounding the tooth. If it is swelled up most likely you has a infection that will require about 10 days of antibiotics before the dentist will pull the tooth. So, with all that being said, you probably will be seeing cerebral nights just like last night unfortunately.

Sorry to hear the bad news. But I would like to suggest stop using the whiskey. And start using warm salt water. This will help in fighting the infection and help relieve some pain. :)

Thanks for the tip Terry. I don't have any swelling yet fortunately. Ice water soothes it for a bit but I will definitely try the warm salt water.

It may not be infected at this time. But just because its not swelled up does not mean it has no infection in it. The dortor will know that by x-rays, and if his finding see that present of infection surrounding the tooth cavity he may prescribe a anabolic. If he does, do not drink whiskey, beer, or any kind of liquor or orange juice, this will destroy the anabolic from working correctly. All I can say is hang in there and do what you can. :jerkit:

I would hope he would try to save the tooth with a root canal if possible. Trust me, I know it hurts but if he can save the tooth you will be better off in the long run. If you know him very well or if you have a Family Doctor put a call in for some Lortab or something to get you through the night.

hey Pancho , here is a horror story for you and all . I had a bad tooth that showed no signs of anything going wrong . Then during the night my tongue would swell up real bad , fill my whole mouth but not block my air way , painfull . All the docs said it was an allergy . This went on for 3 yrs. I did a bunch of research and finally found an article on Jaw Bone infections which of course was teeth related . So I went to the dentist , I had a tooth that had almost no bone left around it , he pulled it and the tongue swelling went away . Believe me you do not want to wake up at 2 in the morning with your tongue so large it forces your mouth open . I now see the dentist regularly .

Holy freaking cow do root canals suck!!!!!! They loaded me up and it still hurt when the where severing the nerve or what ever it is they do. I am home now and the slight pain I feel is nothing in comparison. Thanks for the advice and kind work guys. Looks like I am on the road to a good nights sleep.

Jack, Why on earth did you wait so long. I would of been freaking out after the first few times. Glad you all good now.

I talked to the doctors and they all said allergies . I even told them of what I found and they ruled it out . I even have a doctor in the family and he still does not believe what I found and told him .I also talked to 3 dentist and they knew nothing about it .
Oh well , nationalized health care will fix that right .
