can't upload links or images

All of a sudden, I can't upload links or images (from photobucket). As soon as I click on either icon, a window pops up that says,

"Are you sure you want to leave this page?
Message from webpage:
Changes made in the editor will be lost.
>Leave this page.
>Stay on this page."

Am I doing something wrong? I'm not thinking so, since I've been doing the same thing for the last 9 years, but who knows?

Are you following this procedure?

Go to your Photobucket album.
Click on the picture you want.
Go to the right and see Links to share this photo
Left click on IMG. It will flash Copied. Paste into your post.
 


Hey Esav,

I did this using your procedure outlined above and apparently it worked but up to now, all I had to do was click on the "Insert Image" icon above and a window would open to allow me to paste the link. Similarly, if I wanted to post a link to something, all I had to do was click on the "Link" icon above and a window would open allowing me to paste the link URL. What has changed?

Now I tried to post in the Becker sub-forum, typed it all out with the IMG links, clicked on "Post Quick Reply" and a window pops up saying,

" This page can't be displayed.
Make sure the web address http://www.bladefourms.com is correct.
Look for the page with your search engine.
Refresh the page in a few minutes."

I did it several times and the same thing happened. Unless you can help me, I give up.

Don't know why I can post here though???

COpy and paste, don't type everything out. There is always an increased probability of error when you type a long URL.
 
I assume this is from a PC? Have you tried changing your browser and seeing if it works in a different one? Does it do it on both the quick reply box and the "go advanced" one?

ETA: Does it only do it on BFC? I had a mouse or keyboard once (changed both so not sure which caused it) that would try to close windows when I clicked on other things. Long shot, but weird things happen when input devices go wonky.

Yes it does it on both quick reply and 'go advanced'. In fact, just now I tried to change the font colour for my reply and it came up "Are you sure you want to leave this page, etc."

Yes it's happening only on BladeForums. Since this started to happen, I joined BushcraftUSA - I can post pictures and everything else.

This seems to be a recurring problem with photobucket users.
 
Spark, it hasn't nothing to do with Photobucket. Right now I am clicking on the hyperlink icon- and the window pops up saying "Are you sure you want to leave this page?" - Just clicked on the email icon and the window pops up saying "Are you sure you want to leave this page?" I click on the 'Quote' button and the window pops up saying, "Are you sure you want to leave this page?"

I click on the spell check icon and the window pops up saying, "Are you sure you want to leave this page?" I click on the emoticon icon and the window pops up saying, "Are you sure you want to leave this page?" I click on the 'Text' icon and the window pops up saying, "Are you sure you want to leave this page?" Same thing with the icons, 'Bold', 'Italic', 'Underline', 'Font' etc.

Are you in the basic or advanced editing window when this happens? If you leave the page (it's refreshing the page instead of using AJAX I'm guessing), what happens?
 
Just tried it again in both Quick Reply and Advanced, the same thing happens. If I choose any icon (including just now trying to underline icon), the "Are you sure you want to leave this page?" window pops up.

What happens if you click "Yes"?
 
I'm going to do it right now. I'm clicking on the Hyperlink icon. The "Do you want to leave this page?" window popped up. I clicked "Leave this page". Nothing happened. Now when I click on any of the icons, the exact same thing happens.

What is your operating system, browser and platform? (Pc, Mac, mobile phone?)
