Can't view WTB forums

I used to be able to view / post in the WTB forums, but not it just shows private and doesn't show any posts when I try to enter even looking back for a year. Here is a link to a screenshot.

I thought only gold or above members can view WTB threads.

Please define "anyone". I used to be able to view them and place them.

what happens when you click on the WTB forum itself? There are threads from other registered users in there currently, so you should be able to place a thread. Maybe if you post a thread, that will be the only one you can see.

How long ago was it that you recall being able to view the threads? It was restricted fairly recently to stop non-paying members from selling knives on the sly.

I can't see any posts in WTB forum, period, no matter how far back I try to see. It just says no posts exist. This change happened 2-3 months ago. If that's the way it is, fine, but if so I feel the wording should say so.

Have you tried posting a thread? You should be able to. I assume you can see and respond to any thread you post in that forum.

As to other people's WTB threads- why does it matter that you can't see them?

Yes, that's the way it's supposed to look for non-members now. You can start a new thread listing your own WTBs and you will be able to read that one, but you can't read others' threads and sell to them unless you get a Gold Membership.

Maybe because I have been able to see them since Nov 1998 and there was no explanation before now?

Thanks for explaining the current setup. I think the description on the WTB forum could be a little more descriptive to prevent this from coming up again.
