anyone have any experence with the pathfinder canteen kit, been thinking about getting one.
 
It’s a good kit. A little heavy, but considering it is all stainless steel that’s understandable. If the weight doesn’t bother you, it offers a lot of versatility. I like the canteen cup; the largest I’ve seen compared to the USGI and Crusader canteen cups. The only criticism (which I think has been corrected) was the original Bakelite cap. There were some reports of it failing, but I bought a second one as a backup and haven’t had an issue. My only issue is I wish the wider lid was compatible with Klean Kanteen lids, but it’s not a deal-breaker. Construction is excellent and as long as you’re not throwing it against sharp rocks and take care of it, it will off a long life of service. It makes a great centerpiece for a canteen kit setup:
