I lived in the Vancouver area for about a year and a half when I was 25 and absolutely loved it. In that time I made it to the island for a couple visits and into Vernon to visit some relatives. The scenery is absolutely stunning and if it wasn't for family commitments I would be back in a heartbeat. The photos of our Southern Ontario landscape aren't quite as exciting unfortunately.

Out for a walk in the bush with the dogs today in a less urban Southern Ontario environment.

The lighting wasn't the greatest and my phone wasn't focusing quite fast enough to get the shot I was going for but...

Looks like a Red Breasted Nuthatch to me!!

I do see what looks like a Black-capped Chickadee in the background though!
