What would hold up better on a camp hatchet handle? I tend to be pretty rough and careless with my hatchet. So I'm talking about absent-mindedly leaving it outside for the night sometimes, exposure to rain and occasionaly sub-zero temperatures, high impact against wood on mis-strikes (which never happens
), impact on rock if dropped... you get the idea.
G10 is also an option on this hatchet, but I don't like the colours offered and I'd rather have the more traditional and classic looking micarta on such a tool.
This is for the Bark River Camp Ax, by the way. And, yes, I did read the sticky in the "Maintenance..." sub-forum.
