So I started with an RC-3 a couple weeks ago, and now I have an RC-3, RC-4, RC-6, and two Izulas. One of the izulas is the new relabeled esee one, and the other is an RC. I bought the 3 and 4 first, both in desert tan, so when I received the 6, I was surprised at the different feel of the micarta scales. I haven't used the 6 hard yet (tomorrow I will), so I don't know how it compares after use, but out of the bag I really think I like the linen better.

What do you guys think? Do you like one better than the other?

Canvas feels better to me for just fondling, but in use there isn't any difference to me.

For me, when I used both at the hunting camp a while back the linen scales were nicer. Their smoother texture was easier on my hands. Canvas was rougher and tended to make some tender spots after an hour or so.

Your results may vary, skinning and processing requires shifting grips frequently causing a lot of rubbing against the scales.
