Ça va,
while i was searching for perfect Laguiole knife(which i never bought),i stumbled upon Capuchadou,it was love on first sight, but just like in cheap love novels, destiny kept us apart(expensive),after many years of hopeless wanderings(justify expense, hey,it is hand made),every true love must triumph in the end(got some extra money),in my case just couple years later and here we are, together forever :o

I prefer carbon steel,they offer XC75,

it will be used-satin finish will be OK

I fell little bit for fancy filework

rams horn handle (long gone traditional knives in my area had them)

it is bigger model, bit on the heavy side, not so pocket friendly(i can see dangerous affair in near future, smaller model, ebony and stainless steel  ) fit and finish is excellent, pull is strong, but nail-nick is properly placed so it opens easily, and it is pinchable too, once opened blade sits firmly,
closing requires bit more effort at the beginning, once disengaged,it goes smooth, and you can let it close without Laguiole fear ;)
It arrived very sharp, begging to be used, couple days on kitchen duty developed light patina, but not so much as i expected(i have no previous experience with XC75)

Thanks for watching

Thanks for the review, rinos. I've seen your knife appear in a couple of threads, and hoped you'd sometime give us more details about what that beautiful knife is and how you found it.
Congratulations on getting a supremely attractive knife!:thumbup:
I hope your love does last forever. :D
(That's also a superb sheath you made for your new knife, and I enjoyed your post in another thread showing it in progress.:cool:)

Beautiful knife. I had never heard of these. Thanks for the review. I can't get over how great that knife looks in this shot:

From the translucent horn to the file work to the forged clover, just amazing.

thanks, gents, knife is made by Fontenille-Pataud,you are probably more familiar with their Le Thiers knives,Capuchadou is separate enterprise with few more options for customizing(engraving, filework, handle and blade materials)

Yesterday i used the knife during wild asparagus "hunt" and later for preparing " catch" ;)

Congrats on getting your long sought after Capuchadou Rinos  It's a real beauty! I have liked them since first seeing photos of them on this forum.

Beautiful knife, love the translucent horn. I think that is the same carbon steel that Opinel uses, very nice stuff.
