My car is 1999 Toyota Corolla, a lot of "gold dust" material cover up the surface of the car internal headlinear, I believed it is originally from polyurathane foam. But, over time, it has deteriorated and become brittle, it also make so dusty everywhere inside the car. Is the "gold dust" toxic? Can it endanger to my health, I have been driving it very often in last seveal years with this dusty headlinear, is it health hazard ???, Does it cause any problems as if I breath it everyday by driving it.

Your comments would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks

Peter

We had this with an old Volvo. I wondered the same thing. The only thing one can do as far as I know, is have the area re-upholstered by a shop that does car upholstery. We didn’t pursue this as our car was quite old.
