Hey guys. Got an old dodge truck. The seat cushions are shot and so a part of the seat frame is just below the fabric. It's starting to destroy my jeans so it's time to pull up the cover and replace the foam. Any of you guys know where I can buy seat foam on line. I googled it and could find anyone that sells just foam. Everywhere is selling gel seat pads and othopedic lumbar crap for like $150.00. I just need some new foam.

Wow! First post huh? Welcome to BF. And thanks, I'll check out Wally World. Maybe autozone would have something as well.

Best bet would probably be a car store like autozone for the foam for the seat. If you are just looking for a block of it, i.e., not looking to restore your whole seat, you can get different foams at a craft store like Micheals or at fabric shops. You'd want upholstery foam.

Seems to be a common problem with Dodge seats. I need to do mine soon. there is a tutorial on the net on how to to it.

Maybe an auto wrecker? my Dad swapped the bench in his for leather 6-way buckets from a full size blazer (he drives a silverado) almost a straight bolt in, not sure if dodge didthe same chassis for multiple vehicles like GM did.

Thanks, I did find a place online but it's really expensive stuff. I might go buy a really thick lawn furiture cushion and just canibalize it.

Got a link to where that tutorial might be. I know it's just a couple of clips and then pull the fabric up and over like a regualr seat cover. But there might be some tricks they can help me with. Appreciate it.

Yeah unfortunately they want me to buy the whole seat as they said "We can't do anything with the frame if we only sell the cushion".

Good luck finding anything not ricer related at Autozone.. They used to be my go-to.. You can get foam any thickness, any size, and any density you want off of eBay..

I know you said on-line, but I would check out the yellow pages for a reupholstery shop that may be nearby to where you live. I have done this, as there is a place in my town and I bought remnants for very cheap.

i don't know anything about redoing your seats but if you are gonna use foam and need to cut it a good way is using an electric knife.....i used to cut alot of thick foam and an electric knife cuts it like a hot knife thru butter....ryan

LOL, already got my electric turkey knife ready. That's usually what guys in fab shops use to cut foam.

Any of your local fabric and sewing type stores should have it in stock ,like a Joann or the like.
