Im board and am wondering what % of tint most people have on there cars. I have 35% on my windshield with a 6''5% strip, 35% on my side windows and 5% for all the rest, Its a suburban. I knew the windshild was a no, no. But i thought i got a fix it ticket, no its a misdemeanor in joe ja. So i might have it removed, but i dont know, ITS so much nicer than not having any thing up there.

I have my back window, sunroof, moonroof, and both back side windows tinted to 15%. All that glass makes for a practical convection oven on wheels.

I'm seriously considering tinting my front two windows, but 15% might be a little dark. It's not quite legal in CA, but I live in an area where almost all of the new cars are tinted Limo dark, and I haven't been hassled once since I bought a new car.

Factory tint only on my Mini, not that I notice it. If it isn't raining then the windows are down and the top open, I have used the A/C twice I think.

No one else likes aftermarket tint or has it??

And im inside the truck when the pic was takin. :D:D
And the best part is its all legal but the windshield.

I really like the metallic window tint films. I go as dark as legal. I find the metallic films reflect the light heat energy and the polymer dyed films absorb the light energy heat.

Also, I think a missed issue is the safety the films add. I had a car totaled by hail and the window film held all the glass pieces in place except for the places with total penetration into the cabin (baseball size pieces of hail).

My truck's windows CAME tinted. I just had a small tint strip put across the top of my windshield.

I used to have a 78 chevy monte carlo that I had someone put limo tint all the way around. It was a bitch driving at night in that thing. LOL

yeah i feel you it sucks backing up at some places but at least my neck gets a work out, lol.

Yeah, it took some major getting used to to back out in my tC. So worth it in California heat, though.

I just used a sharpie to color in the light spots on the windows, not sure what percentage that is.

My 09 Lancer has NO TINT, I think it might make things brighter than outside, I've been considering some tint, at least on the back.

WOW only 70% tint up front in Ca is legal that sucks but atlest you can go as dark as you want in the back.

Back in the 80's, I was half owner of a small window tinting biz. Ironically, I have nothing but factory on my Pilot, anything darker makes me feel like I'm in a cave. Especially during long, overcast, gray, winters up north here.

They didn't give you any info on the ticket? I'm sure that your windshield strip is just too wide. Check your state regulations on that strip.
