Been looking at Cara Cara specificaly in FRN handle. This is due solely to the weight of 3.8 oz for FRN handle vs 5.4 oz for G10 handle.

The weight diffence alone is driving me towards the FRN. Although I realize the G10 is upscaled and appears to have removable screw construction.

I'm leaning on going with the FRN.

Are the weights I'm quoting accurate? 3.8 for FRN vs 5.4 for G10? I know sometimes there are misprints. But with a weight difference like that and an @ $13 lower price vs G10 price, the FRN seems to be a no brainer.

Comments? TIA

Byrd FRN is very nice and grippy. Also, the FRN is screw, not pin construction.

I'd much prefer the FRN over G10 on such a cheap knife.

well, just read where Cara Cara 2 is on the production line. New FFG blades on the way. Must Wait ! Must Wait .. Must Wait..must wait...:D

They say patience is virtue but I am man with no known virtues... Anything with Syderco that has FFG... I am interested.

At least this should be affordable. Hoping for a Meadowlark with the same treatment. The perfect budget E4/D4 replacement beaters.

The Meadowlark is a hot little blade. I like the comet more than the Spyderhole, it looks less awkward. I will never buy an Endura or Delica after feeling the choils on Meadowlarks and Cara Caras.

Here are the rest of Spydercollector's pictures. A big thanks to him for such a great site!
