Hi, here is the other bowie that I have been working on. The forged w-2 blade is 11 3/8" long X 2 1/16" wide. The spine is a 1/4" at the guard and has a nice distal taper. OAL is 16 1/4". The guard spacer and buttcap are damascus and the handle material is caramel colored ivory. I have been wanting to trythis handle style on a large bowie for awhile. The guard is about 1/8" thicker than the handle material so it gives the knife a slim profile thickness wise.

Big bowies, hmmmmm.

The only thing that I would want to be different if this were my knife would be to have the lower arm of the guard go all the way to the edge of the blade. I really like the way you do the pins.

Well... that one isn't like anything in my collection... But I'd dang well make sure it was if I could afford it! :D

That shape of blade isn't what would normally draw me, and I'm not overly fond of that style handle... But the way you've put the whole thing together, both materially and proportionately (is that a word?) and one fantastic hamon... well, this one would really help expand my horizons on what a bowie can be!

Beauty Craig... and every one just keeps looking better!

Whoa craig that is chunky !!!! Do you have a sheath yet? Maybe a shoulder rig.

Thanks for the comments. Thsi one is big but it balnced out very nice and was fairly quick in the hand.
