I went to the flea market here today and there is a guy there that has things for dremels. He just got in an order of Carbide Burrs in different shapes. I picked up 2 for $5 each. the ones i got say:
Carbide Burr
1/8" Shank Size
1/4" Head Size
Used in: Carving, Grinding, Shaping, Drilling
Used on: Glass, Metal, Soft Stone or Wood
on the back of the card it comes on it says:
This mandrel and or cut-off wheel is designed to be used on power tools which are being operated at low RPM's. Please operate your power tool at low RPM's to avoid personal bodily injury and or damage to the mandrel or cut-off wheel. Always wear protective clothing/gear while operating power tools.
Made in China
My question is at what speed do you run them at? i tried one at low speed and it didn't seem to do much, but at high speed it did real good on 1080 steel, but am i damaging it?
