Carbide Endmills Rule!

Okay it could just be that I finally put a new endmill on for milling my bolsters but this is the first carbide endmill that I've used and man did it cut!

I bought them to just use for milling steel, mostly for slotting guards but wanted to try them out and was very happy with them. I feel they were definitely worth the extra money.

They chip easily however but you can mill hardened steel or even stellite with them. For cost effectiveness I use HSS endmills anywhere I can and save the carbide for special applications where HSS won't work.
