Carbide straightening hammer

Good day.
I had a Magnacut blade returned from heat treat with a slight warp in the ricasso area.
I since purchased a carbide hammer, and tried to straighten it out...not working well.
I am new with these hammers, and wondering what I am doing wrong. The blade was placed on a small anvil "curled up". Gently tapped it several times, still warped.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanx in advance for any tips...

Harder hammering would be my guess. You need to be displacing metal with the peening to move the blade.

Like everyone else said.

Are you making dents? No dents, no straight.

Like Stacy said you're stretching out the inside of the curve. That much power is going to leave a mark. (Just don't go overboard on how hard. Lots of shallow marks is what you're looking for.)
