Can Carbidizing, or any other process, help with a lockbar that is at 100% and still sticky.
I have a ZT0560 CBCF and the lock is at 90-100% and is not settled in yet,

You may be able to send it in to ZT and get it fixed, they are very good with customer service

You most likely have a loose screw, either pivot or frame. Tighten her up, that solves the problem for me almost all the time.

Email ZT/KAI. Their customer support is some of the best I've ever dealt with. They'll take care of you.

To directly answer your question, yes it could help some since you are adding material to the surface of the lock. It will also help the lock not stick in my experience.
However, if it is a newer knife I would contact the maker they should fix it for you.

I think the knife went out of production in 2012, but may be wrong.
Thanks for the ideas. I will try adjusting pivot, but the knife is very smooth and perfectly centered.
Ernie thanks, I was hoping for a long term fix.

Don't start fooling around with stuff like that if you are unsure of the processes and potential end results. You may end up with a 100% useless paperweight shaped like a knife. The knife was a limited edition, it has been out of production for years. That is not to say that ZT cannot fix it.
