CRK People, I Just got in a CF 25 and Small Insingo CF today from KA and they are awesome! I also have a CF 21 now the sebenza CF family is finally complete.
My thoughts on all 3:
CF 21 is perfection. Lightweight slicer. Just awesome.
CF 25 seems much lighter than my 25 micarta and just as solid. Powerhouse in a lightweight package. Love it! Strong and Light!
CF small insingo... factory edge was not sharp out the box, i forgot how small the small sebenzas are its been a while. It feels like air. I love that. And the shape of the blade and knife looks very sheeple friendly and it looks like its gonna be a slicer once it gets sharpened some. First time i got a CRK fresh factory edge that wasnt paper cutting sharp.
Now the CF trifecta joins my pair of micartas, 21 double lug and 25 double lug. I am torn between keeping these 2 micartas or selling the 21 micarta since its still nib. I bought it because i had one a few years ago and regretted selling it. Should i switch this out for a wood inlay 21? I had a cocobolo 21 recently and really loved the way it felt in hand. What to do.... I cant keep them all!!!
I promised myself i was only gonna keep a few knives that have to get me through most any situation in my life, and ran the whole gamut to realize most production folders just have a terrible flaw one way or another and i got tired of fit and finish and tactical blah blah blah they all cut like crap and lockup was also crap. I wont name names. I never got that precision tool feeling with the others that i got with my sebenzas. A $100 knife is still just a $100 knife. Now i know these are $400 knives but damn... The ferrari of knives is still a Ferrari if knives. Perfection. You only live once might as well use and carry the best as long as you can I always say. Buy once, cry once. Bye bye "other" production folders and fixed blades I wont be missing you.
