I'm not usually one for traditional style knives, but lately I've had an itch for a slipjoint or lockback with carbon fiber and carbon steel. Is there someone who makes this combination?

Case makes a few with carbon fiber, but unfortunately with their SS only.
If you're looking for carbon fiber and carbon steel, you'd have to go custom.

The good news is you can have a knife made the way you want it.

The bad news is that carbon fiber and carbon steel form a rather powerful galvanic couple. I would expect more than the normal amount of corrosion with such a combination.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know that... maybe that's why I can't find that combo. Kinda puts a damper on my idea.

The epoxy doesn't insulate them? Or you could use stainless liners.

Epoxy can act as an insulator on the surface. But you're going to drill it to put the fasteners in: contact. And if you grind the material to shape it, then there goes the epoxy layer.
