I love Chris Reeve knives! I bought my first one about 3 months ago and have since bought and sold several for various reasons, mostly because I jumped in head over heals not knowing exactly what I wanted. I currently have 5, four of which are PJ's. Yes, I know some people don't like the thumb studs and they do take some getting used to but then, just Wow! The feel and sound of the lockup and closing is just so satisfying. I have read several comments that they weren't "fidgety", but I've gotten a lot of satisfaction opening and closing them, although that's definitely secondary to the reason I carry a knife. They have all been a breeze to sharpen, from 35 to magnacut. They are just such a significant piece of steel in my hand. I never warmed up to the Zaan and I my current favorite is a large Inkosi Insigno but I found the small Inkosi to be just too difficult to open to be worth the trouble. I love the feel of Ti and want to eventually have a few more with various inlays.
That being said, I just don't think I want one in carbon fiber. I've never even held one but I just associate CRK's with titanium, with or without the various inlays. One in carbon fiber just doesn't seem "right" to me.
Am I missing something?

Mainly a benefit of lower weight and something different. If you are happy with what you have, no reason to change.

The main advantage of the CF is reduced weight. I really like CF, especially true CF with no liner like my Cheburkov Strizh. I believe the CRK ones are linerless as well.

If you have 5 already, I think it's time to try other brands.

You're not missing anything , it will feel right if you're a fan of carbon fiber. That's fine if you are not, I'm not a big fan of the wood inlays. I've got a couple, but have never used them.
My favorite inlay is micarta, love the Uniques and CCG's, some of those are just too gorgeous to use IMO. But yeah, I'm a fan of carbon fiber.

I feel the same way you do ac3boyz ac3boyz for some reason the carbon fiber CRKs never appealed to me. I like CF on other knives but can't do it on the Sebenza or Inkosi.

Make no mistake the carbon fiber line of CRK’s are built to outlast us and be passed down to the younger generation. I’ve had both of these close to 7 years now and they have not failed me once. They’re much lighter, carry easier, and punch above their weight like their full TI siblings. If you enjoy carbon fiber you will certainly enjoy the CF CRK’s

At least with carbon fiber you don't get the crappy CRK Ti finish that gets snail trails from plastic on seatbelts. Every Ti knife I have out performs the finish on a Sebenza. I like the knife...hate the finish, except for the anodized graphic :). I won't buy a plain jane grey turd.

Sounds like you'd prefer CRKs new glass blast option. It's pretty awesome.

I highly recommend sending one of your CRK’s to receive their new glass blast finish. Their glass blast is a new finish that doesn’t snail as fast. It’s a $30 fee but after the initial payment free to be reblasted in the future.

Well for one thing they’re lighter and also they’re…uh…well…more carbon fibery.😜

I’ve only owned a handful of cf models but have had countless Ti models over the decades and will agree that they don’t quite have the same classic Sebenza look and feel but I still like ‘em. They aren’t any better or worse, just different.

I carry this fella more often than anything else, tbh. The CF holds up really well, which is something I was a little worried about.
Nope, no problem. Cutting hoses off an engine at the junkyard? Scraping tarpaper from a kitchen remodel? No worries. Works just as hard as any of its brethren.

I actually like the Ti finish and consider scratches and trails as just added character.
To each his own.

The Knife Art weight reduction is awesome for summer shorts weather, and the BHQ inlays are just sweet looking, especially with the polished handles IMO!

My most carried Sebenza:

That's something I hadn't considered. When at work (scrubs) or wearing light weight shorts I just reach for a small Sebbie or my PM2. Not because of the size but because of the weight. A large CF may allow me an option.
