Hey Folks,

Im fairly new to the forums, and brand new to Hinderer knives. I found after some patience and two months of trading, a Brand new xm-24 was on its way to me. This beauty came with an orange frag scale and I was in love. Then, the carbon fiber bug… This knife is fantastic, and with a few easily turned screws, why not dress it up with some carbon fiber frag? Little did I know these are hard to come by so I settled for the textured scale. Looks great, feels even better, but still not the same, then a frag cf showed up on the forums, paypal, shipped, done right? Wrong. USPS has dropped the ball in a big way, tracking says "delivered"…package no where to be found. Long sob story short, it sucks. But life goes on, thanks for letting me vent, y'all understand it, the 100$ gone isn't nearly as bad as a lost rare find for ones hobby.

Trust me, You Call the Post Master and report your situation. You will receive a call from a Postal inspector (Armed Law Enforcement, Federal)
You do not mess with the U.S. Mail - it will be found.

Welcome to the RHK Forum.

You will find it eventually. When it comes to a CF frag scale it's more than just about the $, the time & effort needed to find a rare gem like that is hard to get back.

I've had USPS packages shipped my way that Web "tracked" as "delivered", but it was a confirmation the package arrived at the local PO and not at my residence. USPS did not have package tracking, they had delivery confirmation. Only internally could they "track" a package.

Give them a day, if it doent show, calls are in order to begin tracking.

Go talk to the local postmaster. Mine has been very helpful a few times!

I feel your pain man... On the hunt for the same in 3" in the same. Finding the parts you want and dressing up your hinderer exactly the way you want it is a labor of love. I'm sure one will pop up again eventually. :D

USPS takes its role pretty seriously. The Post Master will be very interested in the issue (not passive).

When I was stationed at Ft. Knox, I had a diamond ring shipped to me. Never got it.
I reported it at about 1630 Friday afternoon.

A Postal Inspector knocked on a door in rural Missouri 0900 hrs. the Next Morning and simply said, "Hand over the Ring".
I had the ring Monday morning.
They don't play.

Unreal. Two case numbers later, I still had no response from USPS. I got the number for the regional overseer here in Colorado, called tonight around 1615, only to stay on hold until they stopped taking calls at 1625. No big deal, I'm more patient than most. So decided to check mail tonight before calling again in the morning, Ill let this tell the rest of the story….

Thanks folks for the support and I couldn't be more excited to get this setup finished. Have a great night y'all.

Best,
