Holy cow Spyderco... Well done! This is the smoothest of any Lum Ive seen yet (productions that is) Got this one as a gift for my wife... may have to get another... its just beautiful. Course I had to include my newest custom as well...

Without doubts this is very nice knife. May be I will get one as well.

The Lum Chinese may be the best looking Spyderco knife. But with metal scales, that shape makes it want to shoot out of my hand like a banana shooting out of a banana peel. I bet the carbon fiber will help with that.

No, the scales are perfectly smooth. However, the grip is good.

I love this knife. Lengthwise, it's about the size of a Delica. It's thin and can be carried in slacks almost without printing (I carry it without clip). Very sharp out of the box, as usual. It's my first Lum Chinese, I was never happy with the almite (sp?), but the CF is very nice and has the looks. I like the VG-10, but wish it was zdp.:)
 
I have one on preorder - she looks beautiful!

Does the CF have washers?
 
In low-res pictures, the CF weave almost looks like a diamond stamped pattern - but it is a lot more complex up close. Absolutely beautiful stuff.

please excuse my interruption, but why are the Lums so popular? i see them sell and trade like wild fire. i dont like them in the least bit.
 
Got mine today! The photos above are gorgeous, but I dare say they do not do this knife justice. This is a true standout knife. The carbon fiber is simply STUNNING.

The photos above make the pattern appear two-dimensional. But, in real life, it is very THREE-dimensional. I've never seen CF like this anywhere before. It has a depth and visual texture to it that is mesmerizing as you rotate and change the angle of view. I'm going to see what I can do with my macro-photography set-up to TRY to demonstrate this very unique CF. Maybe tomorrow at the office.

Even the ladies at my office gawked over it. It is a JEWEL in the truest sense of that word.

I wasn't sure I was going to like it from the photos. But, I got one anyway. And, I'm IN LOVE.

Wow. Wow! WOW! Carbon Fiber Goodness X 1000!
