I've done some searching and can't find any information on a carbon fiber Military that I have. It has carbon fiber handle scales with a black (partially serrated) s30v blade. Anyhow, I took it apart tonight to clean out the internals and found that one of the handle scale spacers was stripped as well as a few of the torx screws. One of the screws that was badly stripped was the one that goes into the spacer that acts as a stop right behind the blade. I had to drill out the head of the screw to get it off. Unfortunately the rest of the screw is stuck inside the spacer so I need a new one.

I had my D2 Military disassembled for cleaning as well and noticed that the same spacer is a different length on this model. The non-clip side carbon scale has no metal liner, while the g-10 of the D2 has one. Anyhow, I sent an e-mail to Spyderco customer service about ordering new spacers/screws for the knife. I'm hoping that I can purchase the needed parts from them, or if not, be able to send it in and assembled for a fee.

I'm curious if this particular blade/handle combo was offered straight from Spyderco or if it was two knives put together by the person I bought it from? Unfortunately I don't remember who/where I purchased it. I got it from a private party (sold as new) a few years back. I don't think it was from Bladeforums, as I can't find any past sale threads about it. I'm thinking it may have been ebay, but all of those transactions are no longer viewable.

What you have is a FrankenSpyder. There was an approximately 400 piece Sprint Run CF S30V Military, but they all had PE satin finish blades. There have been several other CF handled Military Sprint Runs since, but none with S30V blades of any description. Biggest problem is that there have been several changes to the Military over the years so parts that Spyderco now has in stock won't necessarily work with the older ones. IIRC, the small partial liner on the off side was added shortly after the original CF/S30V Sprint, so it sounds like the handle came from one of those, which means the handle is about seven years old.

Only Spyderco can say for sure whether they'd be willing to attempt repairs on a knife that's been tampered with, and what it might cost if they would. If not, you might try contacting someone like STR.

Paul is right, there was one 400 piece run of carbon fiber Militaries with plain edge S30V blades and no second liner. It sounds like you got one from a certain unscrupulous eBay seller famed for his hybrids.
