I just got a plain edge CF Police in the mail. I dare say this is the nicest Spyderco knife I've ever had. The carbon fiber is nice and thick which gives the handle a nice solid heft. The action is smooth and tight, no blade play in any direction. The lock snaps open with authority and I love the Boye detent. This knife has a certain class that my G-10 models do not. The VG-10 blade is scary sharp, shaving hair with little effort. The grind lines are even and look great. I actually like the serial number on the blade. I got rid of my serial numbered Chinook and regret it. Now I will just have to wait for my plain edge CF Delica II to arrive from New Graham this week! It is a great time to be a Spyderco fan! As an aside, I have become disenchanted with most liner locks, though I am quite satisfied with my Military and Starmate. If Spyderco keeps making lock backs this good, I doubt I'll be buying any more liner locks in the future. What an incredibly awesome knife! Thanks Sal & Co.

Excellent choice...I absolutely love mine. I love it so much I'm afraid to carry it:D ! Spyderco did an excellent job on it.

Forgot to say, I plan on carrying mine and using it. I've done this too many times. I got rid of a lot of my knives because I was afraid to use them. Now I only have a few (Sebenza, few Spyderco's, Cuda Maxx, and a couple customs), but I do enjoy them and use them. Most of my use involves cutting up cardboard, opening boxes, etc. on a daily basis. Then working around the house, fishing, hunting, camping. I have a nice fixed blade on the way from Ron Clark for the tougher jobs. I can't tell you how nice this knife is. I've had every other version (stainless, G-10, and aluminum). None of them even came close to the Carbon Fiber model. Dare I say, I think it is "perfect" for me. Mine does have some of the minor chipping around the screw holes mentioned in another thread, but I plan on carrying it so it doesn't bother me at all. Other than that minor imperfection, this knife has fantastic fit and finish!

Thanks Sal, for the personal reply. You are among a handful of folks who listen to your customers and come on here personally to discuss things with us. I still love this knife!

Just got mine in the mail today, plain edge, #274, from Mike Dye at New Graham. This is a beautiful knife. It is very thin overall but stiff due to the carbon fiber and single stainless liner. I will eventually switch the clip to tip up configuration, but for now will just leave it as is. Blade is scary sharp as usual. Perfect EDC for work in khakis. Slim, classy, but definitely NOT a wimpy little "gent's" folder. Better get one of these before they are
G-O-N-E fellas!
