Hella all.I am new here and just got the only Spyderco in my collection.I owned a Police (gin-1,stainless hndl) a few years ago and loved it but traded it on a picklock.I bought a CF Police plain edge today and am very pleased with it.Stout, sturdy, sharp and ground and finished very well.I love automatics but need a EDC knife like the Police.I can see why so many collectors are so excited about Spyderco knives, great tools...Mike

The CF Police Spyderedge has been, for the most part, my main EDC since I got it last winter. It's a fine cutting tool and looks really cool.

Nice pick Michael, I finally broke down a couple days before Christmas and ordered myself a lefty PE CF Police (along with a grey Calypso and a PE 'Hawk) from NGK. From the comments here and elsewhere, am sure I'll be very happy when it arrives!

Hey,

I have a question for the CF police owners.

When the knife is open (completely), is the end of the lock-back mechanism level with the bottom end of the blade?

On my delica, they are matching and butted up right against eachother, but on my CF police the blade is lower by a few millimeters. Doesn't quite look right. (follow the spine of the knife from the spacer to blade, is it uninterupted?)

Overall a sweet knife though.

Worth the money.

My CF Police just arrived a few minutes ago, it's the same way yours is. I'd call it about a 3/64" difference. Checked out my new Spyderhawk and Calypso, plus my original black FRN and stainless Calypsos, and a handful of other Spydie lockbacks, including my only other CF one, a PE Dragonfly. Only other one that is "off" at all is my PE Rescue, which is off by about 1/64". As this is my first Police, wondering if this is common in all versions of it.

Aside from that one little cosmetic detail, it is one heck of a knife, butter smooth action, rock solid lock-up and the razor sharp edge I've come to expect from Spyderco.

On my SE, the tang and lockbar are off by about 2 mm, with the end of that lockbar not quite flush with the liner on one side and the CF scale on the other.

On my unused PE, the tang and lockbar are off by only 1 mm, and the end is flush with the rest of the knife.

Mine is the same way.Paul,I think you will be pleased with the knife.Carried mine out shopping and to a movie today, you hardly know it's there.I was aware of it in Walmart though.I was with my wife and daughter. The day before Christmas my daughter got her purse snatched, but was lucky and got it back. She started screaming and another customer ramed the thief with her cart, and as my daughter was running at the thief, she threw the purse at my daughter.Main thing she was not hurt.Wal-mart told her it was the fourth purse snatching that day,and this woman(THIEF) got away....Mike

My blade is just a touch lower too. Locked rock solid though and no blade play, after 4 years of everyday carry. Greatest knife I've ever had.

I am pretty shure the first stainless hndl Police that I had was the same type set up between the backspring and the end of the blade.Has anyone else with other models(Titinium,G-10,etc.,)experienced this? Thanks....Mike

Also, If i cut a material with some force, i can feel the whole thing flexing, the lock and all.

Maybe i should send her in...
