Carbon fiber question

I just received my first carbon fiber spyderco and have a question.
There is some tiny nicks in the finish, very small but noticeable, is this the way they come from the factory? I bought this knife new and just wanted to clearify. The knife has definitely not been carried or used, I am guessing it is just poorly finished?

Thanks

I have a carbon fiber delica I bought from New Graham, and it came absolutely un-blemished. I've carried it for a few weeks, and it has a few tiny scratches now, but they're only visible when the knife is held at a certain angle. I don't really notice them because of the three dimensional quality of the polished carbon fiber.
I think a few nicks will be inevitable, so enjoy it and don't worry about the scratches. They're just beauty marks.

The surface of the CF scales of my Delica are flawless. The bevelled edges are not polished, but that's normal, due to manufacturing.

I've had some (small) chips/nicks in NIB CF Spydercos, both in the polished surface around rivet holes, and in the matte bevel edges.
