Carbon Fiber Regular Seb?

Saw these in the "Pictures of your CRK folders: thread and I think I'm in love...does anyone have more info on these please? I think they're probably just custom scales but you never know!

Those do look custom.

Knifeart is doing a collaboration with Chris Reeve to offer a large and small Sebenza with a carbon fiber scale - they are not taking pre-orders, and it is a limited run. You would have to put yourself on the notification list and hope the knife gods smile upon you - these will go fast. I think Chris Reeve was carrying one at the recent knife show in California.

I do believe there is a forum member who works in carbon fiber and has made replacement scales for the Sebenza. I do not remember who - someone will chime in shortly with their name.

Try TuffThumbz or Peter R.

They are both highly skilled and do amazing scale work.

Barry H does great work with CRKs too, I'm not sure if he did that scale though. He blends the regular handle shape with the classic lock bar release area much like the one in those pictures so it's possible.

So I guess the consensus is custom scales. When I saw them I thought they screamed Barry H or Peter R. Doesn't quite look like TuffThumbz's style
I may just get something similar for my Large Regular.

I have a Small Regular with a carbon fiber scale...mine was done by some sort of crazy, half mad, half insane idiot though....:thumbup:

I saw my name mentioned in this post. Though I do make custom replacement scales for high end production and custom knives, I did not do the knife in question.
