This last December my local sporting goods store was having a closing sale and I managed to pick up their last 530 pardue fairly cheap. Love the 154cm blade, love the action, but I do not love the grivory scales. I have no doubt in their performance, but there is slight scraping when deploying, and it feels like cheap plastic. As a suit knife it is perfect, but the scales make it seem far cheaper than it actually is.

Carbon fiber scales would both look gorgeous and also solve some gripes I have with the knife. However, I’ve been scouring the web for anyone selling custom scales or the limited edition knives that came with cf scales, but to no avail. So I need to know if anyone can help me out here.

TL;DR
I like the 530, but not the scales. Does anyone know where I can get CF scales for it?

Iirc they made a gold class with cf. Otherwise iirc cuscadi made some aftermarket cf scales for it. Otherwise I dunno what other makers make them also.

I’m not sure if he does anything for a 530, but Keyman on this forum does awesome scales in carbon fiber. You can see his work on the customized bemchmade thread.

Unfortunately i’m not that well versed with the required technology to do that. I would think you’d be able to look up Keyman with the search function, think there’s a way to send him a msg that way.
