Yes, no, maybe so? I've got some left over from a project. I just worry about how it might sand to shape.

I have used plenty of CF...not all is created equal. The LVA carbon AKS sells is top quality and finishes beautifully. Some others I have used had voids that needed to be filled with CA glue...which is frustrating. Wear long sleeves and a rsspirator...stuff itches like a bee-otch! Clean your work area thoroughly afterwards..if you can work in open air. CF dust will scratch car finishes...ask me how I know. 😞

Wet sanding helps keep the dust down, too! I played with making my own carbon fiber and it seemed less itchy to me? Kevlar is really itchy stuff though!!

Just be aware that the dust sticks to everything like moon-dust. The wet sludge dries to a super fine powder. Wipe/vac/wash off everything immediately after done grinding. PPE and a good dust vac system is also a requirement.

Wear a respirator for sure. If you've ever worked with fiber glass insulation, that's basically what you'll feel like after grinding carbon fiber. Except everything will be black.
Oh, and it's pretty highly conductive as well, so make sure you vacuum out any nearby outlets and power strips after you're done.

The more dust you can contain while working with it, the better.
