Quick question for you all...about 2.5 years ago I bought a CF sebenza but didn't care for the glass smooth shiny (i.e. slippery) CF. Based on pictures I've seen recently and the knifeart description of "textured" CF, can I hope that they've changed the original slippery scale to something with a little grip?

Thanks all!

Yes, the texture is different now, and feels roughly the same, in terms of roughness, to the titanium side. I didn't care much for the glassy-smooth CF handle, but still own it (mine is #50 of the first 50).

This is what the scale looks like. It has a matte finish but grippy enough, more so when wet believe it or not.

Well then that explains the different finishes I had on my CF sebenzas. I had a large and small. One had the rough finish and the other was glassy. I thought maybe it was just different from knife to knife depending on how the CF was milled. Personally I preferred the glassy look.

Is it possible to roughen up glossy CF inlays to give them a matte finish? Scotchbrite pad or fine sandpaper maybe? Worried about damaging the surface and having stray fibers pop out, although maybe that's not an issue. Not very familiar with CF, obviously.
