Splurging on my first ever CRK sent me into a frenzy, I guess...I ended up buying another LNIB off the exchange. :o

These are both large models, one insingo with inlays, and one regular with a full CF scale.

Great knives...took both apart to clean and regrease the pivots and they're breaking in nicely. Pocket jewelry is about the best way you can describe these things, although the one with full CF scale has been seeing some carry and the edge already needed a little touch up.

I love the pouch too...slides nicely into the pocket.

Love the insingo blade...

This one can be re-blasted and the blade can be refinished, so it's going to see plenty of EDC time.

Knifehoarder, beautiful knives! I have had my eye on both of these. For carry, which do you prefer (weight, feel in the hand, grip on the scales, etc.)?

Thanks fellas!

Thank you!

I think the inlays feel good in the hand and I would prefer that over one without, but both of them are very well balanced and give you plenty to hold onto.

I'm thinking about getting one with micarta inlays for an EDC knife. With the micarta version, everything on the knife can be refinished by CRK. They told me the scales with CF inlays cannot be reblasted because of the polished scale surface, so I'm going to keep it pretty.

If you must have CF and you want one that can be refinished if need be, get the one with the CF scale. The lock side has a blasted finish, meaning they can reblast that side, and I think they can reblast the CF side on that one as well.

Just FYI - Blades on all of them can be tumbled to look like new. The models with polished blades cost $30 to refinish.

Great pics, man! I've already got some snailtrails on the front scale of mine, love it even more now! As it's a knife that I'm never letting go of, I don't mind it getting marked up a bit.

Great info, Thanks again.

At 2.3 ounces, the Small CF carries like a folding feather with a razor-sharp edge. It's one of my favorite EDCs. And I agree that inlays make the Sebenza handle feel better. My other Sebenza is a Small Ironwood.

Great pics, BTW. :)

I am debating on the micarta inlay sebenza...pretty sure I want the insingo blade, but the thought of going with the smaller one did cross my mind.

I have a Benchmade 940-1 (the carbon fiber one with blue standoffs, of course) that seems too small on paper, but I really enjoy carrying that knife.

Thanks!

When I make those pics full screen I feel like I've floated away into a dream...beautiful :)

Yep...that's how the one with the solid CF scale will be...once it needs a new bevel on the edge, I'll let CRK make it look new again, but I'm not going to worry about getting it banged up a bit. So far I'm finding the S35VN blade to be a cinch to touch up, so it might be a while.

In all fairness, I have a couple Kizer cutlery knives that turned me onto S35VN and helped me pull the trigger on these. They're a remarkably nice knife for the money...just a two year warranty and no sharpening/refiinishing, but the 403/4403 I have is what gave me a little taste of what the Sebbie is all about. If you want something plain awesome, that'll hold its value and last you the rest of your life, CRK is where it's at.
