Carbon fiber sharpening

I have a carbon fiber knife. Handle and blade. Only the pocket clip and some inner parts are metal. I removed the clip and it passes metal detectors at sporting events and venues for music, etc. Of course not TSA. That's not why I bought it. I always carry a small pocket knife. Too many times I had to hide it in bushes or take it back to the car. This one.. No problem. But it needs sharpening. Any suggestions?? I've used wheel, whetstone and diamond rasp. They work ok but not as sharp as when new.
Thanks.

Depends on what the blade is made of. All the carbon I have played with alox would work, but it sure wouldn't hold an edge. Speaking of which, how well does it hold an edge?

I do know diamond would cut it, no matter what it is.

Can you post a pic of it? Or tell us the model?

Carbon fiber should be sharpenable with sandpaper?? All of the CF I have used on handles is pretty easy to sand and polish with regular sandpaper. Wet sanding is better and go up to 400-600 at least? It's not going to hold an edge super well or be very strong in thin sections, so I would do a convex type of edge on it for strength.

This is going back a bit but,..
I think Gecko45 used to fold different grits of wet dry sandpaper in each of his passports for sharpeining his G1O Smachet.

Yeah, G10 and Carbon fiber will sharpen pretty close to the same. Regular stones aren't really needed if it's not metal at the edge. SiC Wet/Dry at the hardware or big box store will be fine. Wet sanding will work very well!
