Carbon Fiber Strops

I have one. It's not worth it per say. Nothing wrong with it either. The one I have is uni directional cf with a layer of regular cf on top and bottom. Or so I think. You can't see any waves in the middle like regular cf plate.
Mines from burrfection.

Aj composites has flash sales on ig for plates. You can just buy some really cheap and make your own for cheaper than I paid for one pre made and you'll have legit waves in the cf.

Though uni directional is really good for strength for this type of object, it really doesn't matter as I can't flex any of the plates I have from a&j's.

You can use wood, glass, non flexing plastics, anything that's solid that doesn't flex and is flat. Cf can chip and crack when dropped too but it can hang better than glass. It won't have issues in shipping like glass will, at least most likely not.

I like that burrfection offers many types of leather including pre loaded with different types of compound if you want. Prices are fair, and he's probably not charging what he should for his time into these.

But yea. He offers the cf because it was the most idea for him. Perfect sized from the MFG, flat from MFG, less brittle in shipping than glass, less flex than alum, sized better than wood and wood also has humidity issues in some parts of the world. So it is idea in these respects.
