Carbon Fiber Umnumzaan?

Hey guys, I love CRKs but don't post much or follow forums as much as I used to. Anyways, this may have been answered already before but, how come there is no carbon fiber version of the Umnumzaan? I never "got" the Umnumzaan, until I bought one. Now I get it! But I always prefer the carbon fiber versions compared to the standard versions. Is it because the there is no stop pin and the thumbstuds that act like stop-pins are on the titanium? I can't see it as an enginering imposibility as most other knives like Striders have a G10 side and a titanium side that the stop pins rest on (technically the Strider only rest on the titanium side).

Any insight?

Someone posted a cf scale he made for his Zaan a couple of months ago. It might be still be listed here but I don't think so.

I remember it..He posted it, went orange (knifemaker) all within 3 posts, then disappeared.

Since the cf versions of knives are usually an exclusive, maybe no one has ordered a set to sell? Pure guessing on my part! However, I would buy one if they were made.

Can we do a Blade forums exclusive Cf Umnumzaan.

And see how many members we need to get one.

Im in for 1

Interesting idea! I am in for one:)
However, I think you have to be a dealer to get a special order like this.

There have been guys making custom cf scales for the Umnum, this one goes way back.

(I'm sure in time, CRK will offer them as well.
