Cold north wind blowing 30 through the shop door today. Luckily finished this 9 1/4" 1084 fighter yesterday. Mammoth ivory frame handle with Silicon Bronze fittings, accented by fileworked N/S spacers. Keep warm Ya'll, and hope you enjoy the photo. This one goes to to the Arkansas show in Feb.

Just got through "browning" some Damascus for an upcoming project. Here's another photo of this knife, though, shows the "frame handle" a little better.

Just stunning. The warm tones in the ivory really work well with the bronze. Beautiful!

those little fileworked spacers look really nice too.

Carbon 'fighter'....? He he he! I kept looking for the Carbon Fiber. What a combo! ;)

John, you almost make it look easy. So do Olympians.

LOL.......I was also wondering what the hell John was thinking putting carbon fiber on a mammoth and bronze handle;) Very nice work for an unrepentant hippie boatbuilder, Mr. White:thumbup:

Nice one John, I'm looking forward to the brown damascus;) hope you post it up as well:thumbup::D

I was in the same confused boat as the rest of you.... I thought it said carbon fiber and was thinking "John White and carbon fiber"

Beautiful of course.

Thanks for the comments, guys. (I need to work on my photography. )The Si Bnz really does look good with the Ivory, and I hope Bronze gets more attention. It can bring a lot to certain knives.
This design is a prototype for a special project in other materials that a couple guys and I have in process, which should also appear at Little Rock.
Finally, Joe (jdm61), I really am unrepentant, just look in the "Hobby" thread.:D
