Carbon Military closed position

I received a CF Military today. There is some vertical blade play in the closed position, approx. 3-4mm where the tip end meets the scales. If you shake the knife it rattles. This is not like my other Millie which locks closed. Is there an adjustment to make the ball detent hold the blade shut? Is this normal for a knife in this price range?

ETA: After looking at the ball detents, the one on the CF is noticeably smaller than the one on my older S30V model. Was there a design change to a smaller detent?
 
This is just me, but I hate a knife that rattles, so I would contact Spydeco and the WILL make it right.
 
Military, CF or otherwise, should not rattle, neither closed nor open. Sounds like you need to send it back.
 
The expense I can handle, it's the wait that kills me. I have a Para in there right now and it seems like FOREVER untill I will get it back. Bit when I do it will be right and awesome.
