This is a French made dagger I acquired several years ago. The blade is marked "PCS Carbon" over "Lanceole". As you can see in the third picture, it was subjected to poor storage conditions. However, that part near the tip is the only area displaying any corrosion. The guard is non-magnetic, so I think it is aluminum.
I applied some mink oil to the leather washer handle.
Overall this knife is very close in heft to a good ole Kabar.
Sheath is cordura type nylon, and except for the staining shown on the strap, is in good shape. Great truck knife, or for things that go bump in the night. Hell, it will work for things that go bump in the day, too.
