Hello. I have three SRKs and each is different. The first one I aquired I bought new in the early 90's. Black Teflon coating w/kevlar sheath. I removed the coating easily and the steel looked good. The second one is new with a plastic sheath. I removed the coating and the steel looks really bad. You can see what looks like folds in the steel. Looks like biscuit dough. The spine looks laminated. The third and latest one doesn't have a teflon coating at all. It looks parkerized. The steel looks great. The knife is about 18 years old. The writing is all on one side. "SRK Cold Steel Carbon V Made in USA" The other two have SRK on the other side of the blade. Any insight or knowledge about these knives? I know some were originally made for military use but I believe they came without markings.
