Can anyone tell me for sure if the carbon V blanks from the now defunct Camillus factory are in fact nothing more than 50100B?I would like very much to know if the rather time consuming heat treat that I,m about to undertake(even the annealing is long and roundabout) is correct.Does anyone have a recipe for heat treating carbon V That he or she would like to share. Thanks much, bullet1934 P.S> I have an oven that I have not yet used. I am admonished to never leave it unattended and ,at my age cannot be up any 36 hours. Thanks again, bullet

I ordered one of those blanks yesterday. I read somewhere that it was 6150. I would have to send it somewhere for heat treating no matter what it is.
