I cant remember where, but I was surfing and found someone selling Cammilus pocket knives which were manufactured with carbon steel blades and imitation stag handles.
It appeared that these knives were new, but I didnt see anything like this at the Cammilus homepage. I would like some info on these.
When I was 16, I spent one summer 'working' in a store called shavers world, at the local mall('87). I suspect the franchise was owned by frost because thats mostly what they sold. There was also a small selection of Cammilus knives which were very affordable, Western too.
At the time, I was enamoured with frosts selection of butterflies, and spent my summer getting paid to play with them.(by the end of that summer, I was a bonified balisong 'MASTER'- "cooool!")
As the years have gone by, my tastes have come full circle, and I have come to respect Cammilus more and more. While many manufacturers continue to 're-invent the wheel', Cammilus continues to produce a traditional, hardworking product at a very affordable price.
I now own a specialty retail business, and would like to add a selection of knives to my inventory, If anyone here has contact info for Cammilus, I would really appreciate it.
I have a flourescent orange handeled, spring loaded folding knife, which has a drop point blade and what appears to be some type of gut hook blade. Its about 5" long, and has a lanyard ring at one end. The drop point is stamped "Cammilus", and its in really good shape. I wouldnt guess this knife is all that old.Any background info on this knife will be appreciated as well.
Thank You
